Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 19, 2026 Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Climb Quest collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a seamless virtual cycling experience, the App collects account information (email, username, encrypted password), physical data (weight, bike weight, units), workout data (exact duration, power, speed, elevation gain), and device sensor data (Bluetooth connection to trainers).

2. Third-Party Integrations & Subscriptions

If you choose to link Strava, we securely store tokens to upload completed activities. Climb Quest offers premium subscriptions processed securely by your device's App Store and validated via RevenueCat. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data locally to compute physical physics against real-world gradients and control your smart trainer. If logged in, data is synced to our secure Supabase cloud infrastructure. Your performance data (Username and Personal Best Time) is shared on global leaderboards visible to all users.

4. Data Storage & Security

Local active ride data is stored securely via SQLite. Cloud syncing is handled by Supabase with HTTPS/TLS encrypted transit and Argon2id hashed passwords. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone.

5. Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to access, modify, or completely delete your data within the App. Deleting your account will permanently wipe your profile, synced history, and leaderboard entries from our servers.

6. Children's Privacy

Climb Quest is not intended for use by anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Furthermore, if you are between the ages of 13 and 16 and live in a jurisdiction where parental consent is legally required (such as certain EU member states), you must have your parent or legal guardian's explicit permission to use this App.
